Physical Ability Challenge


The drill schedule includes some fun firefighter physical ability challenges. Now is the time to get in shape. Check out X-treme fitness or San Juan Fitness, or take advantage of the equipment at Station 31.
The PAT includes a 150 foot dry hose deployment, a 70 foot charged hose line advance, a ladder halyard raise, "roof" walk, attic crawl, simulated roof ventilation, rescue drag, ladder carry, stair climb, search, and hose hoist. Start exercising now!

Every 15 Minutes



Every 15 minutes someone dies as the result of an alcohol related collision.

We will be participating in the Every 15 Minutes presentation at the Friday Harbor High School on April 22nd. If you would like to take part in this valuable teaching opportunity please sign up on the FireCo web site. You do not have to be fully heavy rescue certified to participate.

We're back on track to build our Saving Our Own training prop. The work is scheduled for Feb. 21 & 22. You may sign up at http://www.firecotraining.com/
South Whidbey F & R is hosting a 40 hour rope rescue course on the weekends of April 18 & 19, 25 & 26. The 4 ten hour days are mostly hands on training. Interested? Contact the training officer.
