Up For a New Years Challenge?

San Juan EMS is challenging other emergency service organizations to field a team for our own version of the Biggest Looser. Now's the chance to really build crew integrity. Remember, the department supports your fitness by including up to three hours per week of training pay. Thanks to Elite Fitness's generosity, this will pay for your gym membership, (if you choose to go that way). The training officer will be attending a planning meeting on Wednesday so talk it over with your crew members and let him know if you are interested.

Snow in Your Future?

Tire cables have been distributed to each station for use on the front wheels of the apparatus. You will still use the chains on the drive wheels. For now, they will be installed at the same time as the chains, (snow covering the roadway). The same driving cautions remain. These are to provide an added measure of safety, they won't make you invincible. (Sorry) WATCH FOR DETAILED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS IN SMOKE SIGNALS.

The annul WSFTSO conference is scheduled for Feb. 20 - 24. Courses include

Who Looks Out for You?

Not only does Paige, our newest dispatcher, look out for us on scene, she takes care of us at the station too. Yes, there's one missing from the box of cupcakes she dropped off at Sta. 31, (had to do quality control). Thanks Paige
